 I continue to be impressed by how well the phone camera does; this shot of the stars was just a casual snap taken on my way back from getting the mail.

  Very warm today, so our evening beverage was a chilled rosé spritzer on the portal… same color as the clouds!

Hike to Nambe Lake

 We decided to hike up in the high country to beat the heat - got an early start and drove up to the Ski Santa Fe parking lot and hiked Winsor trail up to the Nambe Lake junction, then followed the creek up to the lake.

The trailhead is at about 10,000 ft, and the lake is at about 11,500, and there’s a bit of up-and-down in the middle; 8.5 miles round trip, so we got a good workout in for the day!

Big mood weather

A speedy western coachwhip visited the courtyard this morning.  Boy, he is fast!
