Delta Century

At 63 miles (100km, a "metric century") this was Nimue's biggest ride to date, and close to twice the length of her previous record ride... We had excellent weather, only a bit of wind to contend with and very pleasant temperatures. There were plenty of good food stops, which we made full use of... the second stop even had comfy pillows to lounge on, on a big grassy lawn.

Nimue and Anna powered the tandem, while Chad kept track of turns, took photos, blocked the headwinds, and tried to stay out of the way of the tandem on downhills (of which there were few, this being a very nearly flat ride.)

Other highlights included several drawbridges and a ferry crossing, seemingly endless vineyards in full leaf, and many delightful levee roads overlooking bucolic stretches of river and slough. A fine time was had by all!
