Fourth grade officially started today. I'm not sure exactly why Nim came home and painted "Mr. Squiggles", among other things, on her arm, but she seems cheery enough. Note the excellent tentacles on her fingers; she can animate Mr. Squiggles :)
I enjoyed the first day of freedom by riding over to the coast and back, up Old La Honda and Tunitas roads, racking up 70+ miles and a whole mess of climbing. What a great way to shed the mental detritus of summer!
